Valentine, Sweet & Cold

I have three more items from the "26 Things" list: valentine, sweet and cold.

"Hunter"

I kind of fell for a Golden Retriever puppy on Saturday, he had an "adopt me" bandana around his neck. I'm being accused of being "hormonal". Saturday night we became a "foster" family to an 18 week old pup. We will see how it goes and maybe he will be part of our family. He is really a good puppy, better than I expected. Here are a couple pictures.

"Terrifying"

Terrifying from the "26 Things" list what a tough word, then I remembered this piece of paper. Quick story here, kind of photography related. A couple weeks ago I was out and about and there was a beautiful frost covering the trees. Got home, noticed an odd smell in the garage, didn't think too much about it. Went in the house and got my camera, decided to leave the house through the garage instead of the patio doors. As I walked past the pipes that vent our furnace exhaust I could smell that smell I noticed in the garage, stuck my face in the exhaust thinking maybe there was an ice clog. Went off and took a few pictures. Checked the pipes again and then called the emergency gas leak number, I figured it was overkill. A technician was here in probably less than 10 minutes. When I answered the door he said something to the effect of I'm glad to see you answering the door. Then he told me we had dangerously high levels of carbon monoxide coming out of furnace (terrifying). He shut down the furnace and checked the house which had low levels, okay to live in. What a day, and who knows what would have happened if I hadn't gone out to take those pictures....that's why I bought my camera a new macro lens as a thank you !! Another thing I learned from the technician, carbon monoxide at high levels has an odor, I remember thinking that this couldn't be carbon monoxide 'cause I smell it. God is good!!

"All One Color"

"Frivolous" & "Weathered"

I'm so excited! I got my macro lens today, I'm tagging that with "frivolous" from the "26 Things" list, I really didn't "need" this lens, total "want". The next picture is "weathered", a post in our yard. The other photos are taken with my new lens.

Red Canoe

This is the red canoe at our cottage up north. I used Topaz Adjust to give it a painted look.

First Post, Test Post

I'm going to try and post my favorite photos and challenge photos on this blog. Now I'm just trying to figure out how this all works.
